My beads are handmade in the flame of a torch using a process called lampwork. Glass rods are melted, transformed using various methods, and wrapped around a specially coated steel wire (mandrel), which when removed is what creates the bead’s hole. The beads are created from the inside out, giving lots of opportunity to add encased details to create depth. I love creating a whole miniature world in my glass pieces and love adding tiny details that reveal themselves over time to the wearer. I've been creating glass art since 2004. Most of the glass I use is Italian (Murano) glass.
